Surging bitcoin price has minted 58,000 new crypto millionaires this year

Since January, the number of bitcoin addresses holding $1 million or more has surged by 237%.

Although the crypto industry faced a brutal crypto winter in 2022, there is one evidence of recovery: In 2023, more than 81,000 digital asset wallets hold at least $1 million in bitcoin, tripling the number of bitcoin millionaires by wallet count, according to data from BitInfoCharts.

During the last eleven months, the number of wallets holding $1 million or more in bitcoin has surged from 23,795 in January to 81,925 today – representing a 237% increase over this period, BitInfoCharts data shows.
